Resumo: The present work considers a family of two-dimensional piecewise linear systems with the switching boundary given by a straight line and vector fields having regular equilibrium points. Initially, the dynamic behavior of the system trajectories is fully characterized for cases where there is a stable pseudo equilibrium point. Then, conditions on the system parameters to ensure finite-time stability with at most one switching are provided. The results obtained are applied to a power electronic system that describes the dynamics of a Buck Converter, where we want that from an initial voltage the system reaches a desired output voltage in finite time and with at most one switching.
